Here's a little history on Bonomo's Turkish Taffy:
According to Tico Bonomo son of Victor Turkish Taffy "was not really a taffy but what is technically known as a short nougat" consisting of a batter of corn syrup and egg whites that was cooked and then baked. It was also not Turkish but created after World War II in the Bonomo factory. It has been marketed in vanilla chocolate strawberry and banana. Originally distributed through Woolworth's stores in large sheets which were broken off with ball-peen hammers at the counter and sold by weight in the late 1940s the company released a version in candy-bar size which the purchaser would whack against a hard surface to break it into more bite-sized pieces. Since the pieces were both chewy and slow-melting in the mouth it was a favorite for the frugal customer. A bar still cost 5¢ in the 1960s.
In 1949 Turkish Taffy became one of the first forms of candy advertised and marketed on television when Bonomo created and sponsored The Magic Clown on NBC Television. Tico Bonomo specifically cited the decision to use television as instrumental in the popularity of the candy-bar sized taffys.
In 1980 the candy became part of the Tootsie Roll Industries of Chicago line of candies and was discontinued in 1989 until NOW![]

Not a genuine product not the right weight!
These hi chews are made in Taiwan not the genuine products of Japan. Also each pack is 1.76 Oz so 8 packs makes 14 Oz Not 17.6 Oz as it claimed

Very Disappointed!!!
I placed my order for 2 boxes of this Watermelon Laffy Taffy with seeds. I didn't buy 2 pieces of it because I "thought" I knew what I was getting. I "thought" Amazon would be a more commitment oriented corporation. For what I recieved...... I got 2 boxes.... 64 laffy taffy's watermelon flavor and it did NOT have the seeds. I wouldn't have ordered $56 of laffy taffy if I wanted the WRONG one. The picture on the website is definitely not the picture of the laffy taffy I recieved. I for one am very ashamed of the service I have recieved and warn all others to steer clear of this product if you are looking for the taffy with the seeds.... this is NOT the right one.

Yum but I don't think I needed the whole box
I bought this taffy because I occasionally crave it and it can be hard to find in my area plus it is typically a dollar a bar. I love the taste and texture it is tangy and sweet but it gets old faster than I expected. I think I won't buy this again just because it is over kill for my occasional sour taffy craving.

Delicious and Addicting!I've been a fan of airheads since the candy first came out so when I came on here and saw a box of 90 I went insane! I had to have it! I have to say it was fabulous. Being able to eat an airhead any time I wanted was pure magic. The box lasted a long time and the candy was fresh and delicious. Airheads are chewy gooey fruity and refreshing! I could go for one right now! If I hadn't just gotten two crowns put in at the dentist I would order another box! Highly recommended!

Every BIT as good as you remembered!36 of these candy bars just might seem like overkill but you can always tell yourself that you're going to give them out to company! Of course the truth is that they are way too good to give away to anybody -- they can just go get their own.
The good news is that they are shipped so fresh and soft that they will last 'till you can finish off your stash!

Seven YUMMY pounds of Laffy TaffyI bought this for my daughters birthday party because it was such a great deal. Priced at less than $1.30 a pound when I bought it it was cheaper than any store locally including those that sell it in bulk. Going off the one package I opened already it is plenty fresh as it's still soft and chewy not hard. Overall a really good buy if you need this much taffy.
